Police Report: Fireworks Set Off Marijuana Charges

The following is a report obtained directly from the Middletown Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

When a Middletown resident set off some post-Fourth of July fireworks, he ended up facing charges for possession of not only the explosives, but marijuana as well.

On July 5 at 5:50 p.m., Sgt. Paul Bailey was on patrol in the area of Route 35 and Pine Street when he heard fireworks being set off from a residential neighborhood close to the highway. Sgt. Bailey conducted an investigation and determined the fireworks were being set off from a residence on Crescent Parkway.

Sgt. Bailey continued his investigation that resulted Christopher Ingianni, 23, of Crescent Parkway, Middletown, being arrested and charged with possession of fireworks, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sgt. Bailey located the marijuana and paraphernalia on Ingianni after conducting a search related to the arrest.

Ingianni was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released pending a court date.
