Report: Middletown First Aid Member Accused of Attempted Child Endangerment, Attempted Lewdness

Wayne Long, 62, of Leonardo was arrested by the Passaic County Sheriff's Office, according to media reports

Retired U.S. Army Sgt. William Long, 62, of Leonardo was arrested Thursday by the Passaic County Sheriff's Office after a four-month investigation with an undercover detective he believed was a 12-year old girl, according to authorities, NJ.com reports. The article includes a photograph of Long.

Long is alleged to have used the Internet to try to talk the 'girl' into going camping and horseback riding with him, to not reveal their relationship from her parents, and to engage in sexually explicit chat, NorthJersey.com reports, citing information from the Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik.
