Stop, Lights Out, Marijuana Possession

Middletown police arrested the following people recently on charges of marijuana possession ...

On Sept. 29 at 1 a.m., Patrolman Keith Hirschbein responded to the Henry Hudson Trail in reference to a report of two juveniles passed out.

Upon arrival, the officer located the two juveniles and observed one of them attempt to throw away several items he had in his hand. The officer retrieved the items which were identified as a wooden pipe containing Marijuana and a glass pipe used to smoke Marijuana.

Officer Hirschbein arrested the 14-year-old male juvenile from Middletown for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released pending a court date. The second juvenile was transported home.

On Sept. 26 at 8 p.m., Cpl. Douglas Wiatrak was on patrol in the area of Kings Highway when he stopped a vehicle for failure to stop at a stop sign. Officer Wiatrak approached the driver, identified as Alannah Heilweil, 20, of Rutledge Drive, Middletown, when he detected a strong odor of raw marijuana coming from inside the car.

Cpl. Wiatrak conducted an investigation that resulted in the recovery of marijuana and a pipe used to smoke marijuana and the arrest of Heilweil for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was transported to police headquarters where she was processed and released pending a court date.

On Sept. 26 at 7:20 p.m., Patrolman Richard Fulham responded to the area of Melody Lane in reference to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on the street.

Upon arrival, Officer Fulham approached the vehicle at which point he detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the car.

Officer Fulham conducted an investigation, which resulted in the recovery of a marijuana cigar and wrappers used to make marijuana cigars from the vehicle.

The officer arrested Edward Nonnenmacher, 20, of Harmony Road, Middletown, and two male juveniles, ages 16 and 17, both of Middletown, on the charge of possession of under 50 grams of marijuana.

On Sept. 26 at 10:30 p.m., Patrolman Richard Fulham was on patrol in the area of Route 35 when he stopped a vehicle for having a rear light out.

Officer Fulham approached the vehicle when he detected the odor of raw marijuana coming from inside the car.

An investigation was conducted that resulted in the discovery of the driver, identified as Tawana Godette, 21, of Chestnut Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, in possession of marijuana.

Godette was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana.

She was transported to police headquarters where she was processed and released pending a court date.

Possession of under 50 grams of marijuana is a disorderly persons offense.
