A piece of steel from the World Trade Center Towers will be driven in a procession from JFK Airport to the 9/11 Memorial being contructed at Veterans Park, Highlands, on Sept. 7.
The World Trade Center steel, identified as I-0105c, will be transported by the Highlands Fire Department. They have asked emergency vehicles to join in a procession along State Route 36 from Keyport to Veterans Park.
They plan on being in Keyport at 5 p.m. and will continue to the Highlands, leading a procession to the park.
