Middletown Collects Food And Household Supplies Oct 22-26

The annual drive to help Middletown's needy will run from Monday, Oct. 22 through Friday, Oct. 26.

The Middletown Social Services Department will hold a food and cleaning supplies Drive October 22–26. Non-perishable food, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items and paper products are needed to stock Middletown Household Pantry. The Household Pantry, which is managed by the Social Services Department and Middletown Helps Its Own, provides emergency food and household supplies to residents in need.

Donations can be dropped off the following locations:

  • Croydon Hall, 900 Leonardville Road
  • Town Hall Complex, 1 Kings Highway
  • Poricy Park, 345 Oak Hill Road
  • Tonya Keller Community Center, 50 Bray Avenue
  • Wells Fargo of Middletown, 857 Route 35
  • Investors Bank, 1421 Route 35 N

Donations will be collected and added to the pantry on Make a Difference Day on Saturday, October 27, 2012.

Make A Difference Day is a nationwide community service day during which more than 3 million Americans are expected to participate.

Oh, I am so glad to see that you are preserving history. My husband & I visited your town aRead More couple of weeks ago. My 9th Great Grandfather Thomas Whitlock is buried in the Old First Baptist Church yard. I was honored to stand on the porch of the home he helped build and lived in at Shoal Harbor. The name has changed to the Wilson-Seabrook House and now the Bayshore Activities Center. Wow! Too bad all the museum pieces were removed. I would love to have seen them.
