Middletown Field Improvements Slated for 2014

Middletown Township Thompson Park, Lincroft Acres, Fairview Soccer fields, Bodman Park and McMahon Park are on the project list.

Middletown Township announced improvement projects are scheduled for several municipal recreation facilities in 2014.

Field improvements are planned at Middletown Township Thompson (MTT) Park, Lincroft Acres, Fairview Soccer fields, Bodman Park, and McMahon Park, according to a press release issued by the township. Improvements include soccer goal replacements, fencing upgrades, infield and backstop improvements, seeding, fertilizing and top-soiling.

The town also plans to upgrade the MTT Park Clubhouse bathrooms and increase lighting in the parking areas at McMahon Park, said Township Engineer and Public Works Director Ted Maloney in the release.

Plans are being developed this year to construct a second synthetic multi-purpose sports field and convert a portion of Applebrook Park into a new soccer field, according to the release.
