Middletown will conduct a maintenance program to help control the growth of weeds and other vegetation near guide rails and concrete medians on main and connecting roads throughout the township, according to a public notice.

The program will include roadside spraying of pesticides, specifically Accord XRT and Arsenal, and will run from Sept. 2 through Sept. 30, according to the notice. Robert Kimball, DEP Pesticide Applicator License # 53682B, was selected for the job.

The pesticides will be sprayed near guide rails using a 200 gallon power sprayer with a hose and a handheld spray nozzle. A five gallon backpack unit will be use for concrete medians.
