Bikes, Peg Perego Stroller, And a Big Red Fire Truck To Be Auctioned Off

The Borough of Rumson is auction off items that were left abandoned, or are no longer needed.

As municipal auctions go, this one is like a really nice garage sale.

The Borough of Rumson is holding an online auction to sell off items it no longer wants, or has acquired and needs to clear out.

From now until Wednesday, July 16 at 7 p.m., anyone can place a bid on these items.

If you want to kick the tires in person, you can go to Borough Hall between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. during the week. The items are locked up, so be aware you'll need a borough worker to give you access to the yard in back. Borough Hall is located at 80 East River Road.

If you win, all purchases must be picked up no later than Wednesday, July 23rd at 3 pm. So you better make sure you have a place to put that firetruck. (The borough has already acquired a new pumper to take its place.)

In the auction:

  • 1981 Hahn Fire Truck
  • 2009 Ford Crown Victoria, Former Police Car
  • Tink 520 Claw Buckets (2)
  • Bicycles, Various Makes and Models (23)
  • Peg-Perego Baby Stroller
  • Ripstick Skateboard
  • Kayak Paddles (4)
