River Plaza Elementary was well represented at the Great Race of Middletown on Saturday, held at Middletown South High School. 4th Grader Paige Derevjanik took second place in the 9 year old girls' 2K. 5th Grader Sean Fitzpatrick finished third in the 10 year old boys' 2K, and fellow 5th Grader Sophia Giovannone came in fourth place in the 10 year old girls' 2k. Many other River Plaza students participated, and a good time was had by all! Proceeds from the annual races (t-shirts and entry fees) went to the Middletown Township Education Foundation Fund, a portion of which goes back to River Plaza and all participating schools.
