RTC Training's Caitlin O'Hare, Middletown and Madelyn Kopec, West Long Branch will be toeing the line with some of the top junior cross country runners from around the country this Saturday as they compete in the 2013 USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships in San Antonio, Texas.

Their trek to the National Championships started on November 3rd as they competed in the Association Meet at Deer Path Park in Readington, NJ.  Madelyn, 12,  finished 3rd overall in the 3k (1.86 mile race) and Caitlin, 13, finished 2nd overall in the 4k (2.87 miles).  With these results they moved on to the Regional meet in Pittsburgh where they raced through some of the toughest possible conditions.  With the wind chill at 5 degrees and the snow coming down steadily, Madelyn and Caitlin kept their composure and finished 3rd and 6th respectively in each of their races.

"Madelyn and Caitlin have worked tremendously hard over the last couple of months," said Robert Cavanaugh, director of RTC  Training.  "Qualifying for the National Championships is a testament to their hard work and dedication."
