'Run With the Girls' participates in UNION BEACH 5k

'Run With the Girls', a Monmouth County based womens running program, will be participating in the Union Beach 5k run on Saturday 6/22/2013.  The proceeds collected will go to rebuilding and restoring the small town of Union Beach that was badly ravaged by Superstorm Sandy.  The race director and RWTG club member, Alicia Maresco, hoped to get 200 runners/walkers to participate in this first ever UB race.  Now, registration is closed with over 600 participants! The course runs past the Sandy Hook memorial playground, gorgeous views of the NYC skyline, as well as the hurricane ravaged town that residents are working hard to rebuild.  100% of the race proceeds are going to help rebuild Union Beach.

The 'Run With the Girls' training program works with women who have never ran and teaches them the basics on form and technique, well as the recreational, novice and advanced runner who wants to improve their skills.  The program is for anyone who wants to run, get better at running and be around a supportive positive group of woman.
