Middletown Schools Honors Some of Its Stars

The Middletown Board of Education recognized a number of students for distinguishing themselves academically, athletically or both in the past months.

At the end of the school year the Middletown Board of Education recognized a number of students for distinguishing themselves academically, athletically or both. 

Mike Milhoulides, Geena Lucibello and Alexandra Pendergrast, all students at , were recognized for their winning "Law Day" essays and artwork, commemorating the nation's commitment to the rule of law. 

Recognized for musical achievements: Caroline Buckley, HSS, All-Shore Band; Joyce Chin, HSS, All-Shore Band; Caroline Hsu, HSS, Region II and All-Shore Orchestra; Timothy Liu, HSS, All Shore Band; Thomas Mannarno, HSS, All Shore Band; Michael Ventoso, HSN, All-Shore Symphonic Band; Philip Muratore, HSN, All-Shore Symphonic Band and Gabrielle Warde, All-Shore Symphonic Band.

Hannah Wisalko, Thompson Middle School, was selected to display her artwork in Times Square to celebrate the arrival of the National Arts Education Association in New York.

The High School South girl’s bowling team was commended for winning the B-North Divisional Title. The team under the leadership of Coach Ryan McCabe consisted of Jill Troiano, Danielle Bardell, Dana Rogers, Sabrina Caballero, Katie Henry, Megan Davidson, Ashlee Driscoll, Alison Pham, Xena Valenzuela, Veronica Zega, Melanie Aptaker and Alexis Yakow.

The Jersey Shore Athletic League recognized the following students for their achievements both on the field and in the classroom. Jade Braycewski, Thompson Middle School; Olivia Mosholt, Thompson Middle School; Kara Hebbe, Thompson Middle School; Emma McCaffrey, Thompson Middle School, Michael Cardano, Thompson Middle School; Tom Frandsen, Thompson Middle School and Nicholas Kish, Thorne Middle School.
