Dreaming of Vacation? Public School Releases 2014-15 Calendar
Key dates for fall, winter and spring recess to help you plan.
The Middletown Board of Education approved the 2014-15 School Year Calendar at the March 25 meeting.
Family vacation planning can begin early! Here are some key dates for students:
- First day of school: Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014 (Early dismissal)
- Fall Recess/Election Day: Monday, November 3 - Friday, November 7, 2014
- Winter Recess: Wednesday December 23, 2014 - Friday Jan. 2, 2015
- Spring Recess: Friday, April 3 - Friday, April 10, 2015
- Last day of school: Wednesday, June 17, 2015
...But be warned. There are no emergency days included in this calendar. If any are needed, officials say they will tack them on to the end of the year, beginning with June 18 through June 26, in order. And from recent experience, we know there is nothing predictable about the weather.
