Middletown High Schools Get High Marks on New School Performance Reports

Academic performance is rated as a "very high" at HS South, and "high" at HS North.

Middletown School District's two public high schools outperformed a majority of high schools in the state and in their peer groups, according to data released by the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) last week.

The state's new performance reports, which replaces the school report cards issued in past years, rates districts on standardized test results, college and career readiness and graduation rates.

The performance report compares looks at a school's ranking compared to the rest of the state and to a peer group with a similar demographic. Middletown High School South's (MHSS) peer group included Monroe Twp High, Howell High and West Windsor-Plainsboro North among others. Middletown High School North's (MHHN) peer group was Freehold Borough High, Raritan High School, and Henry Hudson High School, among others.
