When and how did your business get started?

Nephews Skate Shop + Gallery opened in August 2012. Shawn and Brian Woodward wanted to open a different kind of store directed towards the skateboarding demographic in the area, with an emphasis on the artistic aspect of the sport.

Why did you choose the town you chose to start your business in?

We chose Middletown because we grew up here. We also saw a need for a skateboard shop in the area, as there is a very limited supply with tremendous demand.

What is your business best known for?

Nephews Skate Shop + Gallery is best known for our carefully curated products and our careful eye for detail towards the needs for our customers. We carry products that no other store in the area carries, including mall stores.

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?

Nephews is not just a store, it's an art gallery that features well-known artists, as well and up-and-comers. We hold art openings every 8-12 weeks, which are open to the public.
