Middletown's James van Riemsdyk Taking the Ice at Sochi
The 24-year-old is at the Olympics with the Team USA hockey team.
A Middletown native is among the athletes looking for gold at the winter olympics in Sochi, Russia.
James van Riemsdyk, 24, is a member of the Team USA hockey team.
"Now to be here, it’s definitely a special feeling, but that’s all out the window and we have team goals we want to accomplish," van Riemsdyk told USA Today Monday.
Van Riemsdyk, a left-winger with the Toronto Maple Leafs, is in his fifth season with the National Hockey League.
