Inspiration for New Products Comes from Many Places for Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe

Keeping fresh, new ideas for products are critical to any successful business.  Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe is no exception to this philosophy and business best practice. Recently, Susan and Stan Hordych, owners of Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe in Middletown, New Jersey, attended the Fancy Food Show in New York City and were inspired to create some new and exciting products for their customers.   “We are so excited by the great new ideas we have brought back from our learning experience.  In addition, we recently traveled through Savannah, Georgia, New Orleans, Louisiana and Gatlinburg, Tennessee and were eager to experience some of the wonderful food of the south.  All of these areas are renowned for their cuisine and we are bringing a little bit of that southern love of flavor to some of the new products we are creating”, explains Susan.

Experimenting with new ideas and products for Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe has led to some customer favorites over the past few years.  From gift basket design and corporate gift giving to new barks and combinations of hand-dipped chocolates and candy bars, Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe continues to raise the bar for new offerings.  “Since all of our chocolate and fudge are homemade right in our store, we are always experimenting with new flavors and combinations.  Right now we are in the middle of perfecting some of our new candies and are excited to make them available to our customers”, continues Susan.  With each new experience, continuing education opportunity and industry certification, Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe has enjoyed much success over the years.  And with the votes in for the Best in Monmouth Health & Life contest, they were recently voted 2014 Best Chocolate and Best Candy in Monmouth County for the fifth year in a row.
