Experts To Give Tips on Growing Daylilies, March 23

From 1:30-4:30pm on Sunday, March 23, the Garden State Daylily Growers will hold its spring meeting in the Heath Room at Tatum Park, Red Hill Road, Middletown. The public is welcome to attend this free event.  Speakers for the day are nationally recognized daylily hybridizers Margo Reed and Jim Murphy.  Known for their beautiful and exotic daylilies, the speakers work together at Woodhenge Gardens in Virginia.  Margo has won close to 20 American Hemerocallis Society (AHS) awards and registered nearly 100 cultivars.  Jim is one of the founders of the Charlottesville Daylily Club and served as its president for nine years. He is also an AHS Garden Judge and Senior Exhibition Judge.   The event is a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in learning about these beautiful flowers.
