Holiday Concerts Scheduled at Middletown Schools This Week

Mark those calendars—below are programs, meetings and events you don't want to miss in Middletown this week:

Monday, Dec. 9

The Middletown library will screen the 2012 foreign film “Fill the Void” at 2:30 p.m. in the Community Room.

Tuesday, Dec. 10

Several school concerts are on tap Tuesday: Bayshore Middle School at 6 p.m.; High School South at 7 p.m.; Thorne Middle School at 7 p.m.; and Bayshore Middle School at 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 11

Wreaths Across America makes a stop at Throne Middle School, 70 Murphy Rd., in Middletown’s Port Monmouth section. The journey, which honors U.S. service members, reaches Arlington National Cemetery on Dec. 14.

Thompson Middle School’s holiday concert begins at 7 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 12

Middletown’s Landmarks Commission is scheduled to meet 7:30 p.m. at the township’s library. The Sewage Authority has a 7:30 p.m. meeting scheduled at its Center Avenue location.

High School North’s holiday concert begins at 7 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 13

A blood drive at High School South will be held in the back half of the girls gym. Students can sign up at their lunch periods on Monday and Tuesday—16 year olds require written permission from a parent.
