Middletown Ice Hockey Premier, Holiday Events On Tap This Week

Mark those calendars—below are programs, meetings and events you don't want to miss in Middletown this week:

Monday, Dec. 2

Middletown’s Township Committee is scheduled to hold a workshop meeting at 8 p.m. in the municipal building’s Main Meeting Room.

Submissions to the Middletown Arts Center’s winter-theme exhibit will be accepted on Monday and Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Each entry costs $5. Find out more here.

Tuesday, Dec. 3

Middletown will host its first high school ice hockey game when North and South battle at Ice World beginning at 7:30 p.m. A large crowd is expected, so administrators said to arrive early and carpool if possible. 

Wednesday, Dec. 4

Planning Board members are scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. for a regular session in Middletown’s municipal building. They are expected to decide on a date to further hear the Taylor Lane townhome complex application.

Middletown schools’ Freshman Academy is holding its first parent forum from 6 to 7 p.m. Register for the program by calling 732-706-6061, ext. 1341.

Thursday, Dec. 5

Promoted by Middletown’s Veteran’s Affairs Committee, a “Hiring Our Heroes” job fair will be held at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Holmdel from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. An employment workshop begins at 9 a.m.

Friday, Dec. 6

Adults are invited to Middletown’s library to make ornaments from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Register for the event here.
