VFW Holiday Market, Thanksgiving Football Scheduled This Week

Mark those calendars—below are programs, meetings and events you don't want to miss in Middletown this week:

Monday, Nov. 25

VFW Post 2179 in Port Monmouth will host an indoor Holiday Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. More information, including information on vendors, is available here.

A regular meeting of the Middletown Zoning Board is scheduled for 7 p.m. at town hall. Agendas for the board’s meetings are posted here.

Tuesday, Nov. 26

A Community Thanksgiving event is planned for 7:30 p.m. at the Old First Church, 69 Kings Highway. More information about the program is available here.

Middletown’s Local Assistance Board, which oversees aid programs run by the township’s Social Services Department, is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. in the Health Department building, 180 Main Street, Port Monmouth.

Wednesday, Nov. 27

The Middletown library closes at 5 p.m. in advance of Thanksgiving.

Thursday, Nov. 28

Happy Thanksgiving! Middletown’s municipal offices and schools are closed Thursday and Friday in observance of the holiday. The Middletown library is closed Thursday but reopens Friday.

Middletown’s high school football teams will battle for Thanksgiving Day honors during their 10:30 a.m. at High School South. Contact the school offices for tickets.

Friday, Nov. 29

High School North and South students are invited to their annual Homecoming Dances beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance of the semi-formal event.
