Mark those calendars—below are programs, meetings and events you don't want to miss in Middletown this week:

Monday, Jan. 27

Middletown’s Zoning Board of Adjustment is scheduled to hold a 7 p.m. meeting, 3 Penelope Ln. Among the items on the agenda is the reorganization of the board.

A Middletown Board of Education pre-meeting workshop, with facilities referendum presentations, will begin at 8 p.m. in the High School North library.

Tuesday, Jan. 28

The township’s Health/Animal Control Department, 180 Main St., Port Monmouth, will be open for cat and dog licensing on Jan. 28 and 30 until 7 p.m. More information is available here on the township calendar.

A Middletown Board of Education voting meeting, again with facilities referendum presentations, will begin at 8 p.m. in the High School North library.

Wednesday, Jan. 29

Author Linda Barth will read from her book “The Garden State: Where Ideas Grow” at the Middletown library at 7 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 31

Club MAC with Miss Maria and Friends at the Middletown Arts Center will feature a Chinese New Year celebration from 6 to 9 p.m. More information is available here.
