Community Fire Company is located on Appleton Avenue, between Route 36 and Leonardville Road in the Leonardo section of Middletown. It is Station No. 4 of the eleven all-volunteer fire companies in the Middletown Township Fire Department. It was created in 1922 as a second fire company for Leonardo. Brevent Park & Leonardo Fire Company had been in existence for nearly two decades, serving the area well, but as the population grew, the need for more firefighters increased. Community Fire Company and Brevent Park & Leonardo Fire Company now work together to provide full coverage to the area. Community Fire Company covers inland sections of Leonardo. The company presently has three engines it uses to fight fires, including two engines and a brush truck.
