That's absolutely awful Tommye! I'm so glad your yorkie was found. We looked into the Hotel for Dogs years ago and were immediately turned off by the lack of climate control in the enclosures and the unprofessional attitude of the employee who grudgingly showed us around. In their defense: I just noticed that their founding date is 2010; we took our tour in 2003, so the owners at that time may have been different. Anyway, maybe you should try Dogs on the Farm.

The Hotel for Dogs lost our yorkie fifteen minutes after I dropped her off!!!! She was taken off her leash by the" hotel" owner. A customer opened the door and she ran out. I was called to come back and I spent nearly two hours frantically searching for our dog. A kind and observant police officer found her on Laurel Ave., Holmdel, over two miles away! The owner of the facility never called to see if our tiny dog was okay. The next morning I called. Rather than offering an apology the owner made many excuses and was curt. We are so lucky our dog was found and is safe with her family. I will find another place to board my dog.

I was happy until I saw my dog had been left outside in the high ninety degree weather without water and was visibly uncomfortable. Instead of admitting their mistake I was given excuses and a bit of an attitude. I have found a much better place to leave my dog.
