Mater Dei Prep (High School)
732-671-9100
Boasting a highly competitive admissions policy, what was originally Mater Dei High School recently became Mater Dei Prep. The four-year, private parochial school, located in the New Monmouth section of Middletown, maintains a student body of approximately 400 in grades nine through 12. With most of its students residing in Middletown, Mater Dei also educates students from roughly 20 other surrounding communities. The school's motto is "Faith and Fortitude," or the Latin version, "Fide et Fortitudine." Symbolized by a blue and white color scheme, its mascot is "The Seraphs," or six-winged angels. NBC News Anchor Brian Williams is among its most celebrated alumni.
