Middletown High School North was originally the township's only high school, Middletown High School, until the population grew so much that another high school was built to accommodate a growing township and student body.
Home of the Lions, the Orange Wave Marching Band and the colors black and orange, Middletown High School North serves a student body residing in the northeastern and central portions of the township. Offering college prep and vocational courses, the school also has several extra- and co-curricular programs. Sports, arts, student government and volunteer service offerings are also available for students.
