A 54-year old Rumson man was taken by medevac to Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Emergency workers spent 45 minutes extricating the driver of a 2001 Dodge Vipor after the car crashed into a tree on Navesink River Road around 5:31 p.m. Monday, according to police. The driver was identified as Frank Caccavo, Jr., 54, of Rumson. He remains hospitalized at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, Det. Lt. Stephen Dollinger said Monday night. The accident occurred in Locust, near the intersection with Browns Dock Rd. Monday night, aid EMS spokesman Bob Pfleger. At the scene were Monoc paramedics, Leonardo and Fairview First Aid squads and Navesink Fire Co, said Lt. Dollinger. The car came to a stop near the following intersection at Euclid Avenue.
A car came to rest on the Route 36 guardrail near the border of Hazlet, Keansburg and Middletown after an accident at about 4 a.m. Tuesday, according to Bob Pfleger, the public information officer for the Middletown EMS. The car was traveling eastbound on the highway through the intersection of Palmer Avenue when it struck another vehicle, Pfleger explained. The car continued forward after the accident and came to rest on the guardrail near the next intersection at Euclid Avenue. One lane traveling in each direction on Route 36 was closed immediately following the accident, and Route 36 east was closed entirely while a tow truck removed the car from the guardrail. Those who knew Michael and Steven Dushnick reflect on their lives
An outpouring of sorrow at the loss of two Wall Township brothers continued Friday, a day after the pair was tragically killed in an early morning car accident. Michael and Stephan Dushnick were remembered Friday as bright young men with promising futures from those who knew them and the schools they attended. Two vigils were held to honor the lives of the brothers Thursday night -- one at the Birch Place home of Dushnick's parents, and one at Gettysburg College, where the younger brother attended. A 21-year old was transported to the hospital after the single-car crash, late on Jan. 31.
Speed was a factor in a single-car accident that occured around 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 31 off Swartzel Drive in Middletown, according to a crash investigation report by the Middletown Police. Police issued a careless driving summons to Tara Nesbinal, 21, of Kevan Place in Middletown. She had to be extricated from the car by Middletown Township First Aid & Rescue Squad and Fairview First Aid Squad of Middletown, assisted by Belford Engine Fire Company and Belford Independent Fire Company. MONOC paramedics also responded. Nesbihal was transported by NorthSTAR medevac from nearby Middletown High School North to the Jersey Shore University Medical Center trauma center following the crash. Two pedestrians were hit by a vehicle this morning on Monmouth Parkway. Neither injury reported to be life threatening.
Two pedestrians, an adult and a child, were struck by a vehicle this morning near 727 Monmouth Parkway in North Middletown, according to the Middletown Police Department. The accident occurred around 10 a.m. on Sunday morning on the residential street off Port Monmouth Road. The pedestrians were treated for non-life threatening injuries following the incident, and police quickly cleared the scene of the accident.

Police say he was taken by helicopter to the hospital for serious injuries
A 44-year-old man was medevaced to Jersey Shore Medical Center after a skateboarding accident on Beacon Hill Road on Thursday afternoon, according to Sgt. Richard Deikmann. The NJ State Police helicopter landed at the Bayshore Middle School to transport the victim to the hospital. The circumstances surrounding the incident and the identity of the man were not immediately available. Patch is following this story and will update it as more information becomes available.

It was freed by 6:40 pm; train service appeared to be uninterrupted.
A large ice cream delivery truck, too tall for a railroad bridge near Red Bank, became wedged underneath the span shortly after 5 p.m. Friday evening, triggering a 90-minute effort to free it. Middletown police were detouring traffic at Hubbard Avenue and West Front Street. New Jersey Transit police were also at the scene and two tow trucks had arrived by 6:15 p.m. The driver of the Uncle Louie G ice cream truck appeared to be deflating its tires to reduce its height so it could clear the underside of the bridge. By 6:40 p.m., the truck was able to clear the bridge and police were clearing the scene.

A Middletown man ended up being arrested on cocaine possession and intent to distribute charges after he allegedly fled the scene of an accident. On April 22, Patrolman Adam Colfer responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of Edward Avenue and Main Street, in the Belford section of Middletown, where a vehicle had struck a fire hydrant and then left the scene. Officer Colfer recovered pieces of the vehicle at the scene that assisted him in identifying the vehicle. He conducted a follow up investigation and located the vehicle at a residence on Church Street. Officer Colfer continued his investigation, which resulted in the arrest of Richard Weber, 41, of Church Street, and charged him with possession of cocaine, possession …

The occupants of an overturned SUV involved in a Friday night three-car accident at Bridge Avenue and West Front Street in Red Bank extricated themselves unscathed. Police reported that the accident occurred when a vehicle being driven by Robert Siemer, of the Belford section of Middletown, and a vehcile driven by Forked River resident Theresa Hartigan collided. Hartigan's vehicle, a small SUV, overturned and collided with third car, driven by South Amboy resident Tailu Hassan, Red Bank Police Capt. Darren McConnell said. No one was injured and no charges have been filed yet. The accident is being investigated by Sgt. Michael Furlong of the department’s Traffic Safety Bureau.

A Middletown man was one of the drivers in a three-vehicle crash being investigated by Red Bank police that temporarily closed the area of West Front Street and Bridge Avenue just before 7 p.m. Friday night. No one was injured in the accident, Capt. Darren McConnell said, though one of the vehicles involved, a sports utility vehicle, did overturn. Passengers were able to extricate themselves before help arrived.
