Hazlet Man Arrested, Charged with Murder of North Middletown Woman [Video of Fire]

Police caught up with Darryl E. Petlock in Georgia and, now he will return to face multiple, serious charges.

A Hazlet man was arrested yesterday and charged with the murder of a woman found in a burned out home in North Middletown in the early hours of Sept. 4, said Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.  Darryl E. Petlock, also known as “Isa Maajid” was arrested in Brunswick, Georgia and charged with first-degree murder, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and second-degree aggravated arson. On the Beat with Middletown Police: Arresting March 14-16 Developments

Prior to St. Patrick's Day flurry of police activity, arrests for drugs, arson and car burglaries

In the three days prior to St. Patrick’s Day, Middletown police had a major drug bust, an arson and  juvenile car burglaries … On March 16, at 3:00 p.m., Patrolman Adam Vendetti and Patrolman Albert Scott responded to a residence on Harmony Road in reference to a report of a subject who had allegedly set the residence on fire. Upon arrival the officers found smoke coming from the residence and a fire in a bedroom. The investigation conducted by the officers, along with Middletown Police Detective Peter White and members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, the Middletown Fire Marshall’s Office, and the Monmouth County Fire Marshall’s Office, determined that the resident, Christopher Bossick, 31, had purposely set the house on fire …
