FBI: Colts Neck Bank Robber Nabbed in Alabama

Four days after allegedly holding up a Colts Neck bank, Waleed A. Saleh, 32 of Staten Island was arrested by the FBI in Alabama.

A man accused of pointing a handgun at a bank teller at the Route 34 Chase Bank in Colts Neck and demanding money was arrested by the FBI and Birmingham Police on Monday and charged with first degree armed robbery. Waleed A. Saleh, 32 of Staten Island was tracked down at a Sheraton Hotel, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. After allegedly taking the cash from the Chase Bank on Feb. 21, police say Saleh fled in a dark two-door Infiniti with New York license plates. Police said the car headed south on Route 34, then north on Route 18. In addition to armed robbery, Saleh also faces second degree offenses weapons offenses, according to a news released from the MCPO. Bail was set by Monmouth County Superior Court Judge …

Chase Bank in Colts Neck was robbed at gunpoint on Thursday, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. Police said a male at 5'11" with brown hair and glasses walked into the bank around 5 p.m. and pointed a gun at the bank teller, demanding money. After receiving the cash, the suspect fled in a dark two-door Infiniti with New York license plates. Police said the car headed south on Route 34, then north on Route 18.
