Ed served several years in the U S Army stationed in Giessen, Germany, and was decorated with the Good Conduct Medal.
After several years in a courageous battle with cancer, Edward George Schneider passed away peacefully on Feb. 9 with his wife, Ann, by his side. Ed is admired for his determination to continue to live what he referred to as "a wonderful life". Never complaining during his years of treatment and rarely missing a day of work, Ed especially looked forward to Sunday dinners with the family and his weekly golf outings with friends. Ed chose to live a little each day rather than die a little each day. A remarkable 50 year career in the retail food business. Ed started as a store clerk with Grand Union.
