Middletown HS South to Mark 'Heart Month' By Wearing Red, Holding Basketball Contest
February is healthy heart month, with special events planned.
Middletown High School South senior Madison Mehlman gave the monthly report about events at the school. Here is her report from the Jan. 28 meeting. __________________________________ Coming to the end of the second marking period we start midterms. They begin Thursday of this week, Jan. 31. Also there are many upcoming events in this new month. "Heart Month" is in February and to kick off the month national "Wear Red Day" is Friday, February 1st. All staff and students are encouraged to wear red on this day. In addition, February 24th and 25th is the American Heart Association fundraiser Hoops for Hearts. This year a 3 vs. 3 junior/senior tournament and a 3 vs. 3 freshman/sophomore tournament will be run during the advisory periods, …
