Police Search House, Charge 21-Year Old With Drugs and Weapons Possession

On March 29, 2013 the Middletown Police Det. Bureau and Quality of Life Unit executed a search warrant at a Kolas Court residence. The warrant execution was the result of a month long investigation conducted by Det. Kevin Gardiner and Officers Richard Fulham and Anthony Bumbico regarding the sale of marijuana from the residence. The warrant resulted in the arrest of Nicholas Squicciarini, 21, of Kolas Court in Middletown was for possession of marijuana, possession of over one ounce of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of hash, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon. Preliminary Report on Main St., Middletown Fatal Collision Released

A preliminary police report gives new official details about the accident that killed a landscaper on Main Street, near Kolas Court.

A preliminary police investigation into a Sept. 17 fatal pedestrian-car accident on Main Street in North Middletown that killed Louis Cristello Sr., 62, of Hazlet categorizes the accident as "a hit-and-run." "Preliminary investigation reveals this as a 1-vehicle collision with a pedestrian, whereby Driver 1 fled the scene," states Middletown Cpl. Darrin Simon in the crash investigation report released Oct. 9 by Middletown Township Police.  Driver 1 is identified as Marissa Sasso, 24, of Twilight Place in Port Monmouth in the report.  "Driver 1 did return later and supplied blood and urine for toxicological examination," the report states.
