The poster outside the Police Station at Town Hall is full of sincere messages of gratitude from Middletown kids.
Following an assembly on cyberbullying presented by a Middletown Police Detective on March 12, Fairview Elementary fifth graders presented a gift to the department: a huge thank you card. The poster is now hanging outside the police station in the very busy hallway. The fifth graders signed it during lunch. (A few second graders sneaked in some sentiments.) Parent volunteer Tracy Lewis was behind the card. "Being a member of Fairview Community Concerns, we realize how much the police mean to our community. By patroling the area, they have made the area safe." She said she was touched the police chose to put the thank-you on public display.
