Pesticide Spraying From August 3 through August 31 the Department of Public Works will be conducting its Right-of-Way maintenance program for control of weeds growing near guide rails and concrete medians on main and connecting roads throughout the township. The brand names of the pesticides to be used are Accord XRT and Arsenal. The applications will be made utilizing a 200 gallon power sprayer with a hose and hand held spray nozzle for guide rails, and a 5 gallon backpack type spray unit for concrete medians. The Middletown Township Public Library found the most effective way of advertising their library app was through Facebook and Google Ads costing them $0.001 per view.
The Middletown Township Public Library App has been available for the more than two months but getting the word out about it has not been an easy task. Through a grant with Library LinkOut NJ, the Middletown Township Public Library looked to go viral with their own app, available in iTunes and on the Android Market, which allows library goers to access the latest books, movies, and music, and even put holds on desired materials all from the convenience of a mobile device. Principal Librarian of Borrower Services Kevin Unrath took to the web, the Middletown train station and library advising the new app using three different methods. The library now has it own mobile application available in iPhones and Android phones.
The Middletown Public Library can now be accessed at your fingertips with its new mobile app. According to the Middletown Public Library’s website, the library has gone mobile. With its own app now available in iTunes and on the Android Market, all of the perks that come with going to a library can now be accessed on your phone, tablet, or iPod. The library's website explains that with the app, users can access the latest books, movies, and music, and even put holds on desired materials. The app will also allow users to renew items and access the libraries calendar of events. The app can be found by searching “Middletown Township Library” in your smart phone's application store.

Over resident objections, Middletown Township Committee expanding trustee board from seven members to nine.
Two more chairs will be needed in the Middletown Public Library Board of Trustees meeting room when the panel meets again. By a unanimous vote, the Township Committee agreed during Monday night's regular meeting to add two new members to the current seven-member board. The two newest members, to be appointed by the committee at a later date, will each serve five-year terms. Though a few residents questioned the committee's intentions in allowing two more members on the board, Mayor Anthony Fiore views the new additions as a means of heightening community participation on the board and gathering new ideas.
