Union Beach Man Indicted on Murder Charge After Fatal Keansburg Stabbing

The May 19, 2012 stabbing resulted in the death of Santiago Rodriquez.

A Monmouth County grand jury voted Wednesday to indict a Union Beach man on a first degree murder charge.  Police say Marco Perez-Nery, 21, fatally stabbed Santiago Rodriquez with a six-inch fixed blade knife in Keansburg on May 19, 2012.  Perez-Nery was indicted on three charges, including first degree murder, fourth degree unlawful possession of a weapon and third degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that a grand jury found there was enough evidence to proceed with a trial.
