Middletown Man Indicted In Murder of Wife

Patrick Allen will stand trial on charges he murdered his wife, Kimberly Allen.

A grand jury decided today that Patrick Allen of Lincroft should stand trial for the murder of his wife, Kimberly Allen.   The indictment charged Allen, 45, of Middletown, with first-degree murder, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, third-degree hindering the apprehension of another, and fourth-degree tampering with physical evidence, said Acting Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni. On Nov. 18, 2011 around 11:45 a.m., Middletown police were called to the Allen home on West Front Street in Lincroft. There they found the victim, Kimberly Allen, 44, dead on the kitchen floor. Patrick Allen was on the scene. HS North Walk to Honor Murder Victim Kimberly Allen

180 Turning Lives Around, in collaboration with the Middletown Domestic Violence Response Team, hosts the walk to educate and involve students.

From 180 Turning Lives Around: It's a way to honor the memory of Lincroft murder victim Kimberly Allen, as Midldetown police and 180 Turning Lives Around see it. On Saturday, May 12, hundreds of kids will be participating in the HOPE Walk at Middletown North High School in support of 180 Turning Lives Around’s programs and services. The walk is the brainchild of Middletown Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT) Advocate Jennifer Bane, who believed something positive needed to come out of the horror of the recent murder of Kimberly Allen of Lincroft. Funeral for Murder Victim, Kimberly Allen, to be Held Out of State

Services are slated for Friday in Pennsylvania, followed by a Mass and burial on Saturday.

Kimberly M. Allen, 44, of the Lincroft section of Middletown, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, at her home at 1457 West Front Street. Her husband of 20 years, Patrick, has been charged with one count of murder in her death. Born in Plainfield to Frank and Eileen Torchy, who now live in Easton-Palmer Township, Pa., Kimberly Allen graduated from Bishop Ahr High School, Edison, and Douglass College, New Brunswick, with a bachelor’s degree in English. Upon settling in Lincroft about 10 years ago, Kimberly became a communicant of St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church there.
