Girls think 16-year-old singer Ryan Beatty is totes cute and he's making the rounds at local schools this week, including a stop at Red Bank Regional High School on Thursday. Beatty will perform a free concert for the freshman class on March 21 at 11 a.m., according to RBR Principal Risa Clay. Albert Martin, 17, of Red Bank died Monday after collapsing during a basketball scrimmage
Albert Martin was a gregarious young man who was just beginning to reach his potential when his life was cut tragically short while playing the game he loved. Martin, 17, a Red Bank Regional High School senior, died at Riverview Medical Center Monday after collapsing during a basketball scrimmage against Point Pleasant Beach High School. Shellshocked RBR students, coaches, administrators and board members spoke Tuesday about the loss of a young man described as a friend to all who had worked tirelessly to improve his conditioning and grades to be a better athlete and student. Jim Stefankiewicz will head back to Red Bank Regional school district as its superintendent
It was a goodbye Mr. Stefankiewicz moment. At last night’s Middletown Township Board of Education meeting, Board President Michael Donlon recognized the district’s assistant superintendent of curriculum for landing a new, top job in his old district. “Jim Stefankiewicz has accepted the position of superintendent of the Red Bank Regional district,” noted Donlon as he pointed out that Stefankiewicz was sitting in the audience of the meeting. “You will be greatly missed. We wish you the best of luck.” Stefankiewicz modestly nodded his head and smiled to the applause that followed.
