CBA's Mike Galeontafiore gone all-state
Christian Brothers Academy graduate Mike Galeotafiore, who is now The College of New Jersey's (TCNJ) junior catcher, was named to the New Jersey Baseball Association Division II/III All-State First Team. The 6-foot, 205 pound Galeotafiore, of Brick Township, started all 37 games for the 25-12 Lions. He had the third-best batting average at .354 (52-for-147), scoring 30 runs. He had a team-high 37 RBI, 14 doubles, three home runs and a slugging percentage of .524. He had an one-base average of .451. Selected to the NJBA’s second team was senior pitcher Joe Marchitelli, a graduate of Jackson Memorial High School. Out of the bullpen, the 6-foot-2 Marchitelli closed out eight games.
