On the article Middletown PD Will Be Enforcing Seat Belt Use

ReplyI agree with Mattytas. Spend the money on enforcing cell phone/distracted driving ordinances. Non-seat belt wearers only endanger themselves. Distracted drivers, (cell phone user's or otherwise), endanger all of us who share the roads they drive on.

ReplyThe massacre in Conn. had nothing to do with the success of the Monmouth County gun buyback. If the buyback were held before Sandy Hook happened the results would've been the same, IMHO. The success of the program was due to public announcements well in advance, word of mouth, and good weather. I turned in three fully functioning long guns, one of which was an assault weapon. I purchased them all legally, many years ago, after undergoing a background check by my local and state police. Since I no longer take part in recreational shooting I decided to get rid of them. I was happy to get paid for doing so, especially since the program was funded by confiscated cash and other illegally gained assets.

ReplyI'm surprised House of Chong only got 3 stars. Every time I've been there it was terrific. Nicholas is a one-of-a-kind experience if you've got the dough.

ReplyApparently the AG disagrees. Maybe he's trying to compel them to cooperate with the investigation. Nothing like facing jail time to jog ones memory.

ReplyI agree that Mayor Fiore has been a terrific leader.
While not nearly as well-known to most M'town residents is Middletown High School South football coach Steve Antonucci. He continues to teach his players the meaning of responsibility, accountability, and dedication. Thanks coach.

What should they do Dan? Maybe they can design the wires and utility poles to automatically pop back up when a tree falls on them!!!

ReplyThat's a pretty confusing report. Does the Maryland driver have a name? Was the car the victim hit the same car that hit her? Was someone in a hurry to leave the scene? Very confusing.

ReplyThanks for the update on your brother in law. I'm glad the "witness" was wrong. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family for Ken's recovery. Best of luck.

Congratulations to he BOE for having the guts to stand by their original decision. It's nice to know they've got the will to withstand scrutiny when they make an unpopular decision. Why don't we get rid of the BOE and simply elect our principals and administrators every four years. Maybe BOE attorney Parton would like to share the "new information" with the rest of us taxpayers. FWIW, I don't know Mr. Paulson personally. I'm sure he's every bit as capable as the Harmony School community say he is. Our gutless BOE is where I have a problem.
