Sloan-Kettering to Purchase Lucent Building for $14M

The building near the Garden State Parkway in Middletown could house 300 employees.

Memorial Sloan-Kettering will purchase the former Lucent building on Red Hill Road for $14 million, according to a report in The Star-Ledger.

The 285,000-square-foot building would serve as an outpatient cancer treatment center and could house over 300 employees, Middletown officials said in September 2012.

Memorial Sloan-Kettering, headquartered in Manhattan, has suburban outpatient treatment centers for the convenience. The Lucent site is located just off the Garden State Parkway at mile-marker 114 near the Holmdel border.

The three-story building is housed on 400 acres of property and has been vacant for a decade, according to the report.
