Port Monmouth Woman Accused of Forging Prescriptions in Hazlet
Crystal Music was indicted on several charges stemming from two alleged incidents in Hazlet.
A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Port Monmouth woman on charges she forged prescriptions at a pharmacy in Hazlet, according to court documents.
Police say Crystal Music, 31, forged a prescription blank for Xanax and attempted to get the anti-anxiety medication from Hazlet Pharmacy on March 12. At the time of her arrest, police say she was in possession of heroin.
Music allegedly attempted to forge a second prescription in Hazlet on March 25, according to court documents.
She was indicted on a total of seven counts, including attempt to obtain a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), uttering a forged instrument, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, receiving stolen property, and three counts of forgery. All charges are in the third degree.
An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that a grand jury voted there was enough evidence to proceed with a trial.
