Info Session Aims to Help Sandy-Impacted Families

Join the Bayshore Family Success Center for a two-part information session on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Middletown Elks Lodge.

The first part of the session will focus on insurance questions related to Superstorm Sandy claims. Amy Bach of United Policyholders will provide information concerning flood and homeowners insurance claim tips, resolving disputes over damage and the cost of rebuilding or repairing homes, "Proof of Loss" deadlines and protecting your rights at the one year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy.

Immediately following this session, Michael Oppegaard, Director of Monmouth County's Office of Emergency Management, will address the audience on "Ready for the Storm?", providing valuable information on the meaning of National Weather Service Warnings and Watches, Evacuation Guidelines and how to develop a Family Emergency Plan. Emergency kits will be given to registered participants on a  first-come, first-serve basis.
